This tip should work for Firefox 2 and above.
Simply go to www.cuil.com and search for anything. At the bottom of the search result page, you will find a link “Add Cuil to Firefox“. Click on it and activate it right away.
But, if you have Google Toolbar for Firefox (a Firefox add-on) installed and it is configured to replace Firefox search box, then you have to carry out the following steps to restore Firefox search box in order to use the “cuil.com” search you have just added.
- Click on the “Settings” button (with a green round icon) in Google Toolbar
- Select “Options”
- Select “Layouts”
- Select “Classic Toolbar layout”

thanks for the information. but is cuil works well like google? must i submit my site to cuil in order to be indexed by cuil? does cuil have a submission feature?

I used Cuil as my FF default search for 3 days and found myself having to return to Google every time I searched. I have given it up.
